Travel
The Lansing airport (LAN) is always a great option for someone looking to rent a car or take an Uber/Lyft to campus. Detroit Metro is only ~90 minutes from East Lansing and there’s a very reliable bus service (Michigan Flyer) with WiFi that picks up at the Detroit airport and drops off at the Marriot East Lansing at University Place (also only 4 blocks from the Graduate East Lansing). The Michigan Flyer is $54 round trip and easy to use. The Flint and Grand Rapids airports are both ~60 minutes from campus and, while there’s not a convenient shuttle system, both work well for someone renting a car.
