SDI 2023 Announcement (12/22/2022)
Families and high school programs increasingly seek lead-time as they map out busy summers. To that end, I want to announce that MSU Debate will not be hosting a summer camp in 2023.
We want to offer transparency and assurance to the high school community that this is not an effort to shelve interactions with our high school partners and we are hopeful this announcement will be perceived in a proactive light.
Over the last few years, MSU Debate experimented with different modes of engagement. We’ve enjoyed hosting traditional tournaments, boosting access through free webinars, and helping assist high school programs observe college rounds. The entire process has got us thinking.
We plan to use the upcoming summer to deduce the best ways to engage the high school community going forward. We will miss seeing you in East Lansing – but we promise not to be strangers.
More announcements will be on the horizon. Wishing everyone the best over (a potentially snowy) Winter Break.
